Il s'agit de la 6e Armée du Général Walter Krueger (1er, 11e & 14e Corps ) & la 8e Armée du Général Robert Lawrence Eichelberger (10e Corps)

1ère Division de Cavalerie
11e Division Aéroportée
La Division Americal
Les Divisions d'Infanterie suivantes :
6e, 7e, 24e, 25e, 31e, 32e, 33e, 37e, 40e, 41e, 43e, 77e & 96e

Pour l'armée de l'air (qui était rattachée à l'US Army) c'était la 13e US Air Force sur ce théatre d'opération (fusion de la 5e -Australie- et 7e -Hawai-)
